This conversation took place on April 6, 2021.
Sprott Gold Fund owns 19.4% of this $300M gold exploration company, which is currently looking for gold in the state of Nevada, U.S.A.
I did enjoy the conversation but I will not be buying nor selling (shorting) any shares of this company at least 2 weeks after the release of this video, such that I can keep my objectivity.
The story behind this gold junior stock might seem very compelling at first glance, but don’t forget to dig deeper than the surface.
Gold exploration companies (often times, not always) have to spend a lot more money on their gold exploration projects, in order to “de-risk” them, in order for them to become more interesting for major gold producers (gold mining companies) to purchase them.
Corvus Gold (NASDAQ: KOR) (TSE:KOR) is a junior exploration and development gold company. So, it’s no exception to what I wrote previously. Their CEO – Jeff Pontius – mentioned to me that they might need an additional capital of $20M (rough estimation). This might mean that the company has to go through share dilution. Jeff said that Corvus will try their best not to, but nothing is specified yet.
The Company’s main focus and efforts is in the advancement of its 100% owned North Bullfrog and Mother Lode projects in the Bullfrog Mining district in Southwestern Nevada. At first glance, those projects do seem interesting to me. They’ve already gone through a PEA, and Jeff said that they currently have about 4.3M ounces of gold in the “resource” category and about 13.5M ounces of silver in that same category, as definite by the NI43-101.
For a complete and factually correct number, though, please visit their presentation: http://www.corvusgold.com/_resources/presentations/corporate-presentation.pdf
Jeff Pontius did mention to me that their main goal is to de-risk the projects and try to sell them to a major gold producers.
Rumour has it, one of their neighbours might be looking to expand their operations and Jeff see that’s as a good opportunity for the shareholders of Corvus Gold (NASDAQ: KOR) (TSE:KOR).
In this interview, we also talked about the amount of money Jeff is paid for the role of CEO with Corvus, and a few other topics. So, yes, Sprott Owns 19.4% of This $300M Nevada Exploration Company, but should I consider it? Tell me what you think.
