Most of them are in the feasibility, or pre-feasibility stage.
Of the world’s top 10 largest gold projects, three are in Canada, representing about 30% of the resources in this list, or about 150 million troy ounces of gold.
While the United States has only two spots in this top 10, the troy ounces of gold resources actually exceed those of Canada, at about 151.5 mozt.
This ranking appears to be based on the projects’ total resources (M&I), but many companies include reservers (p&p), that can (at certain gold prices) be economically extracted in resource estimates.
