China and Argentina signed a contract Tuesday for the development of ‘Atucha III,’ the country’s fourth nuclear power plant, which is expected to feature a 1,200 MWE and have an operating life of at least 60 years.
Not only does this give the country a better shot at a better environmental future for its kids, because nuclear is a zero-carbon-emissions source of energy, but the plant is expected to add over 7,000 new jobs, with an investment of more US$8 billion.
Nucleoeléctrica President José Luis Antúnez explained, although he didn’t really have to, that Argentina is building this nuclear power plant “so that they can supply Argentina’s electricity demand with basic, clean, safe, and sustainable energy, and fight against the effects of climate change”.
I mean, the man is a legend, and that’s clear. Even though wokeism, the mental illness that hit us harder than any disease, will forever try to go against science, Argentina’s president prefers looking at the facts.
Not only that, the country’s president is looking to set deeper ties with China and have them help him expand the country’s central bank reserves, and infrastructure. He clearly gets it.
