Bullfrog Gold is exploring the South Bullfrog gold-silver project near Beatty, Nevada, in the Walker Lane, about 5 km south of AngloGold Ashanti’s North Bullfrog project. The land package is 488 unpatented BLM claims covering about 10,000 acres. They are looking for low-sulphidation epithermal gold and silver. In this conversation, I asked the upcoming first drill program, the financing that just closed, insider alignment, and why the ground was never drilled before.

TL;DR
This is a pre-discovery story, and Ian said that drill success is the only way he can make the company succesful. They recently closed a financing of about $7.5 million at 20 cents per unit. They have paid Major Drilling’s deposit and expect to start drilling in November. The program is roughly 3,000 metres in 300-metre holes, split between the Longtail and Shingleback targets, and the team expects assays in early Q1. The first program costs about $2 million, and the CEO said the treasury lasts at least a year, enough for a second program. There is no royalty on the project and there are no change-of-control payouts. Ian told me AngloGold has said it would like to buy them after one economic intercept, but he says the company is tightly held and he would not sell at that point.
What have they done for shareholders lately?
They told me Daniel MacNeil, now VP Exploration, staked the ground about six years ago, before AngloGold consolidated the district. The project then spent several years in Zacapa Resources, which did geochemistry, geophysics and drill permitting. A drill program planned for Q1 2023 never happened because of the market downturn, so the asset was parked in Outcrop Silver and later spun out. Drill permits for the northern targets were renewed, and Ian said the BLM called back the same day. This summer they did surface work on the Southeast Block. With the financing closed, the drill deposit is paid and Major Drilling is mobilizing within a month.
How much money do they have and what are they spending it on?
The financing was raised from a $5 million target, aimed at $8 million, and closed at about $7.5 million at 20 cents per unit, with a four-month hold. Ian said they have about $7 million. The first drill program is about $2 million. The rest goes toward follow-up drilling if they hit, or toward the three southern targets once those are permitted. He put G&A at roughly $50,000 a month, excluding financing costs. Marketing is around 10% of drilling spend, and BLM claim fees are about $100,000 a year. Ian said the treasury is good for a year at least. By the host’s rough math, the company has about 120 million shares outstanding and about 145 million fully diluted, with roughly 20 million warrants and 8 million options.
Upcoming catalysts
On the technical side, assays from the Southeast Block summer surface program are pending. Drilling starts in November at Longtail and Shingleback. They expect drill assays in early Q1 2027. On the operational side, permits for the three southern targets are expected within a couple of months, which would allow drilling there. On the corporate side, Ian mentioned they are looking at other projects as a backup inside the company. No timing was given for that.
Risks
This is a first-pass, binary exploration story. Ian himself said geology is the main risk. There is some question about depth. A group familiar with the district told them 300-metre holes may be too shallow and suggested going as deep as 1,000 metres. Their success threshold is hundreds of metres at 0.5 to 1 g/t gold. None of the existing stock is locked up, including Outcrop’s 15 million shares. The four-month hold on the new paper ends around the time assays are due. Water has not been permitted beyond trucking it in from Beatty for drilling.
